Simmons BeautyRest Mattress
The name Simmons is well known in the field of mattresses. While they offer a lot of mattresses, their flagship
is the BeautyRest mattress. One of the main selling points of the BeautyRest mattress is the Pocketed Coil springs
system developed by Simmons. This allows you to move around the bed without having to disturb your partner. These
Pocketed Coil springs radically reduces the motion transfer. The build of these pocket coils provides excellent
support and only allows movement on certain areas of the mattress, providing good motion separation. The
conventional innerspring mattress would carry around 300 coils. You get around 800 pocketed coils on the entry
level of BeautyRest.
The BeautyRest line comes in three different varieties: the Classic, the World Class and the Exceptionale. The
Classic is the budget kind of BeautyRest. It comes with 800 Pocketed Coil units and an excellently firm edge that
would allow you to sit without the mattress sagging. This is achieved using two rows of the same kind of coils on
the edge of the mattress. The mattress is able to withstand up to 2000 pounds of pressure. However, you don’t get
to choose the type of foam you want. For that, you have to get the World Class. On the other hand, you have a
choice on how hard you’d want the mattress to be. You can choose between Firm, Plush or Pillow Top comfort
options.
Just like the Classic, the World Class can support up to 2000 pounds of weight. It is also available in different
comfort options: Firm, Plush or Pillow Top. But that’s where the similarity ends. The World Class comes with 180
more coils than the Classic. The World Class features the Ultra 360 Foam Encasement technology. The mattress has a
3-inch high density foam at the edge, so you’d still be able to sleep blissfully right to the edge. The World Class
is available in different configurations. You can get it with latex, memory foam or a combination of the two.
If money is no object and you’d want the ultimate BeautyRest, there is the Exceptionale. The Exceptionale has the
same features as found on the World Class series. However, it features a staggering 1960 coils. You get two stories
of Pocketed Coils: the top is to conform to your needs while the bottom story is for support. The comfort as well
as material options remain unchanged.
If you are on a tight budget, you might want to settle with the Classic. But if you are looking for exceptional
motion separation, the 1960 coils on the Exceptionale will be up to the task.
